A powerful BricsCAD plug-in but, how to Start it?
When you install Spatial Manager™ for BricsCAD, the setup application adds also the Interface components to BricsCAD and a Sample data set including some spatial files to your system. Watch this small video and follow the next steps to learn how to start using the application and to check that all works fine
- Start BricsCAD and create a new drawing or open an existing drawing
- Select the new "Spatial Manager" tab which you will find in the BricsCAD Ribbon
File:SpatialManagerforBricsCAD-Ribbon3.png
- Click in the "Panel" button to open the SPATIALMANAGER panel, which includes the main functions of Spatial Manager™ for BricsCAD
- If you cannot or you do not want to access to the Ribbon, key in "SPM" in the Command line to open the panel
- Problems with the BricsCAD Ribbon? See the Notes below
- Expand the "Sample data" Shortcut to access any sample spatial file
- Right-click over a file to import the spatial information as BricsCAD Objects into the current drawing or into a new drawing
- Use the Wizard default parameters in all the Wizard windows
- Check the imported BricsCAD Objects
- Note for the Trial version: during the testing period you will not be able to import more than 100 Objects from a file
Notes about the BricsCAD Ribbon issues:
- If you have no BricsCAD Ribbon, you can open it using the "_RIBBON" command in BricsCAD
- Can not see the "Spatial Manager" tab in the Ribbon? Try to run BricsCAD applying a clean profile
- Other BricsCAD Ribbon issues
So what now?
Now you can test the application trying to import your own spatial data, and you can access more Wiki pages to learn more about:
- Application Introduction
- Licenses, support, updates and purchasing options
- Compatible BricsCAD applications
- Included Data Providers
- Application Interface
- Accessing to Data sources
- All about Spatial files
- All about Databases ("Standard" edition only)
- All about Importing processes
And some useful links to other pages of Spatial Manager™ for BricsCAD:
