A powerful BricsCAD plug-in but, how to Start it?

When you install Spatial Manager™ for BricsCAD, the setup application also adds the Interface components to BricsCAD and a Sample data set including some spatial files to your system. Watch this small video and follow the next steps to learn how to start using the application and to check that everything works fine


  • Start BricsCAD and create a new drawing or open an existing drawing
  • Options to access the application Commands
    • New "Spatial Manager" Toolbar
    • New "Spatial Manager" drop-down Menu
    • New "Spatial Manager" tab in the BricsCAD Ribbon (if the Ribbon is available)

  • Click on the "Panel" button to open the SPATIALMANAGER panel, which includes the main functions of Spatial Manager™ for BricsCAD
    • If you cannot or you do not want to access to the Ribbon, Toolbar o Menu, key in "SPM" in the Command line to open the panel
  • Expand the "Sample data" Shortcut to access any sample spatial file
  • Right-click over any Shapefile (SHP) file to import the spatial information as BricsCAD Objects into the current drawing or into a new drawing
  • Use the Wizard default parameters in all the Wizard windows
  • Check the imported BricsCAD Objects
    • Note for the Trial version: during the testing period you will not be able to import more than 100 Objects from a file
